Scott Callan is GroundTruth's Associate Director for Individual Giving.
Scott comes to GroundTruth from The Nature Conservancy, where he served as an Associate Director of Philanthropy for TNC’s Florida chapter. Previously, he held the role of Director of Special Gifts Program at The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, leading the major gifts team during the museum’s $60M Campaign for History and Citizenship.
Other experience includes serving as Executive Director of The History Center in Tompkins County in Ithaca, NY. There he led in the development of exhibitions that garnered national acclaim to include Switched-On: The Birth of the Moog Synthesizer and Decay to DJ: Exploring the Roots of HipHop.
Scott’s career in the non-profit sector has included serving as a Governor’s Appointee to the New York State Path Through History initiative, as well as a panelist for the Philanthropy Roundtable and on numerous state and federal grant review committees. Scott holds degrees from Old Dominion University and Dartmouth College.
In his spare time he is Dad to a very energetic eight-year-old and enjoys spending time with his partner, Catherine. Scott’s originally from Virginia, with stays in central Illinois, upstate New York, Connecticut and twice in New Hampshire.
