Marissa Miley is Senior Editor at The GroundTruth Project, and an award-winning journalist and best-selling author who specializes in health and environmental reporting. Projects she has worked on have been recognized with awards from the Online News Association, Scripps Howard Foundation, Society of Environmental Journalists, Magenta Foundation, the American Society of Journalists and Authors and RTDNA. In 2019, "The Last Generation," an interactive GroundTruth-FRONTLINE PBS co-production, was nominated by World Press Photo for 'Best Interactive of the Year' and was one of eight documentaries recognized by the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards for FRONTLINE's gold baton award win. Marissa's health reporting has been recognized with the top public health reporting award from the Association of Health Care Journalists. She has also received journalism fellowships from the United Nations Foundation, the Kaiser Family Foundation and the International Reporting Project. She is a graduate of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow in science and health writing. She is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Restless Virgins.
