Marissa Miley

Marissa Miley

Marissa Miley is Editor-at-Large at The GroundTruth Project, and an award-winning journalist and bestselling author who specializes in health and environmental reporting.

She has led projects that have been recognized with awards from the Online News Association, Scripps Howard Foundation and the Society of Environmental Journalists, among others. In 2019, "The Last Generation," an interactive GroundTruth-FRONTLINE PBS coproduction, was awarded 'Best Interactive of the Year' by World Press Photo and was one of eight documentaries recognized by the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards for FRONTLINE's gold baton award win. It also won an Emmy for 'New Approaches: Documentary' by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Marissa's health reporting has been recognized with the top public health reporting award from the Association of Health Care Journalists. She has also received journalism fellowships from the United Nations Foundation, the Kaiser Family Foundation and the International Reporting Project.

She is a graduate of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow in science and health writing. She is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Restless Virgins.
