Marcie joins Report for America after working for nearly 5 years at the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia. She served as the lone Paralegal, assisting 6+ attorneys in litigation ranging from criminal legal reform to First Amendment rights to LGBTQIA+ justice. She was heavily involved in policy work as well, testifying in front of the General Assembly multiple times on an array of issues, reviewing legislation, and tracking bills as they moved through the General Assembly committees.
Marcie was chosen by colleagues at the ACLU of Virginia to complete the McKinsey- Black Management Accelerator Program, a program designed to develop and progress Black talent in organizations and companies throughout the country. She is also highly trained in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work as well as Restorative Justice techniques.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Telecommunications. She has a minor in Spanish.
