As GroundTruth's Director of Development Operations, Maggie Wong plays a critical role in developing proposals, conducting prospect research, managing grant reports and stewarding our institutional funders like foundations and corporate giving.
A true born and bred Bostonian, Maggie received a BA in Economics and Sociology from UMass Amherst and an MSW from Boston College.
As a strong advocate for Asians and new immigrant families, she worked at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, a $5.5 million agency, on their development team writing grants, stewarding the young professional group, managing special events, corporate sponsorships and database management.
Most recently, Maggie served as Executive Director of Friends of Copley Square, a local nonprofit preserving and enhancing the Copley Square Park as a recreational resource for all residents, workers, and visitors of City of Boston.
Maggie enjoys baking, so watch out for your waistlines! She has become quite the avid runner, albeit slow, and has competed in a few races. She’s looking forward to crossing her next finish line!
