Lauren Owens

Lauren Owens

Lauren Owens is a freelance photojournalist based in the Boston area. Her work documents social and behavioral adaptations to environmental changes. In her work, she treats people as part of natural cycles – a perspective that is sometimes lost in contemporary society. Her work has been published with The New England Center for Investigative Reporting, The Nature Conservancy, NBC and The Boston Globe. She was a Climate Change Reporting Fellow with GroundTruth in 2016.
A high school student, Madeleine Arena, wants more funding for the EPA at the Science March in DC.
