Danielle Houghton

Danielle Houghton

Danielle Houghton's passion for photography first started as a teenager and her commitment to street photography really ignited in 2010. Since then she has been very active in the online street photography community. She is currently a member of the Observe Collective http://www.observecollective.com/ Houghton was a finalist in the 2013 International Street Photography Awards, winner of the 2013 Urban Picnic street photography competition, exhibited in London 2011–2013. She likes to explore fresh ways of documenting people and places where the traditional definition of ʻstreetʼ can encompass anywhere life occurs. The Irish Times awarded her Amateur Photographer of the Year for 2015. She has finally emerged as a force on the Irish Street photography Scene. Her work has been exhibited in Ireland, England, France. Germany and the United States. She can be contacted at darnyell@hotmail.com
