Anna Brugmann is a Public Policy and Program Associate for Report for America and the Rebuild Local News Coalition. She graduated with degrees in journalism from the University of Missouri and American University. As a reporter, Anna has covered education, health and voting access for hyperlocal, regional and national publications. In addition to her reporting, she has also researched audience trust, news literacy and sustainable business models for journalism. Anna also served in the Peace Corps in Albania from 2018-2020 where she taught English, news literacy and early childhood education at a rural Albanian school. In her free time she volunteers with the Prison Journalism Project, reads nonfiction and tries to figure out why her plants are dying.
