Shondiin Silversmith is a Native American journalist from the Navajo Nation and is currently in her last semester at Northeastern University, where she is earning her master's degree in journalism. She recently completed a co-op with PRI's The World, where she got to explore digital storytelling and radio production. Before moving to Boston, Shondiin worked for a Native American newspaper called The Navajo Times where she wrote stories, shot photos and produced videos. She is a member of the Native American Journalists Association, Society of Professional Journalist, and a Chips Quinn Scholar alum. Shondiin joined The GroundTruth Project as a web producer/digital journalism intern.
